Susan & Alfredo - Couples Photoshoot

My path crossed with Susan and Alfredo at Moondog Cafe, in Key West, Florida. I couldn’t be happier it did, as this couple has quite the story. Susan and Alfredo have known each other since they were kids, but ended up together later in life. After two successful careers, they decided to retire to a camper van… and spend half the year traveling across the country. Just so happened that I was in the right place at the right time to meet their sweet souls.

After at least an hour of talking, we decided to take on a couples session— something they hadn’t done in a long time. After our session, I had the privilege to see their home-van:) SO amazing. I was able to photograph them standing outside their van for the Dancer Love Foundation to use to show off their “Love first” shirts Alfredo was wearing. Talk about a successful couples session… I was able to learn so much about the travel life, help out a non-profit by photographing their merchandise, and most importantly, capture the love between one of the most beautiful couples inside and out that i’ve ever seen.

Keith & Katelin - Engagement Photoshoot

Did I mention how proud I am when I get a photo of everyone looking… including your dog? Anyways. Meet Katelin and Keith. :) They are having an October, 2021 wedding in Duluth, Minnesota, so they reached out for some midwestern/Minnesota looking engagement photos :) We decided on the Lyndale Park Gardens in Minneapolis near Lake Harriet. There’s a nostalgia for me in capturing the lakes/trees/greenery that makes me almost want to exclusively shoot that— but I hate those damn Minnesota Mosquitos you guys. Hate. And I don’t hate a lot of things. 10,000 lakes mean 1 billion (probably more) freaking tiny biters. I can’t. But I can for you. I just keep telling myself that, and all is well ;) In all seriousness, this was a lovely shoot. And I love the areas around Lake Harriet. Well worth any bug bites our lovely summertime in Minnesota brings!!

Lyndsey - Senior Photoshoot

Lyndsey came all the way from Blue Earth, Minnesota for her Senior Photoshoot. We had a blast. For Lyndsey’s senior shoot, we went downtown St. Cloud and to a gorgeous field in Maple Lake, Minnesota. The session took around 2 hours, and we got tons of great light/locations. I even snuck in a few shots with her mom to make it extra special.

Ps. A good tip for the senior photographers out there would be to make sure you’re always showing your seniors (and their families if pertaining) the photos you’re taking. This excites your clients and makes them feel as beautiful as you are seeing on the back of your camera! Or… it gives them the space to share something they might not like, and you can adjust!
