Let’s get a little more personal:)
Photography didn’t come into my life through a planned path. It came through a high school breakup, a flight to Colorado, a celebrity makeup artist, and two very encouraging grandparents who gifted me my first photoshoot.
My grandpa spent his working years as a photographer, and when I was 15—feeling pretty unsure of myself—I went to visit my grandparents. After some long conversations about confidence and accepting who I was, they took me shopping, had my hair and makeup done, and photographed me in a way that honored who I was, but also the version I wanted to be. To this day, those are some of my favorite photos of myself.
That experience changed something in me.
While I don’t believe photography should be about vanity, I do believe our bodies tell a story about how we feel on the inside. At that time in my life, feeling confident was rare. Experiencing what it felt like to be seen well showed me just how powerful a little confidence can be—for the heart, not just the image.
That realization is what shaped the way I photograph people today.
Whether it’s your wedding day, a family session with your three wild kids, a newborn session when you may not feel like yourself yet, or a professional headshot because your last one is long overdue—I approach every session with intentionality, empathy, and attention to the small details that help you feel more yourself.
I’m here for all of it.
Just give me a shot. (Pun intended;))
